With winemaking roots dating back to the 17th century, the Western Cape region of South Africa produces some of the country's most treasured wines. The region is situated just outside Cape Town, within close proximity to where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. The grapes for this wine were grown in the coastal village of Lutzville and the slightly more inland McGreggor, imparting its cooler climate style and flavor.
